Charleston is one of my favorite, favorite places. Aside from being absolutely gorgeous, it is a city tied to a lot of wonderfully monumental moments in my life. My husband Bryan surprised proposed in Charleston, we had our destination wedding there, and years later found out we were pregnant after a weekend trip with some of our best friends.
Whenever we visit Charleston, I feel like life is pretty darn wonderful. This trip (without baby Noah thanks to my mom and dad) was no different! While it was just a quick little getaway, down on Saturday morning and back on Sunday night, we let ourselves unwind and get lost in the magic that this city brings.
I love to wander the streets with no agenda in sight and let myself dream. I bring my camera and photograph whatever speaks to me at that very second. This time I imagined dreams for Love Point Photography, for our farm house, for our son. I believe it is and will continue to be one of the most refreshing activities.
Aside from getting lost in the beautiful streets, there is also no lack of incredible food. I always have a hard time choosing which new restaurants to try out. This time we tried two places that have been on our list for quite awhile. Butcher and Bee, a very big yes to their pickled vegetables, and Mcgrady's. At Mcgrady's we got a burger that was super delicious. Needless to say we were not disappointed.
While we are always sad to leave, I have learned that having a baby at home does make it remarkably easier. It is amazing how much you miss those little people isn't it? So we packed our bags and left our favorite town until the next time. Here are a few favorites from our trip.
